Get Well.....

I just adore the new, "Feeling Yucky" set from Crafty Secrets. The images are sooooo cute! I love this little nurse! She reminds me of the Campbell's soup girl! I used my Copics to color her and the tray of get well items. I cut the tray out and used a pop dot.

The paper is basic Grey's Porcelain. To dress it up I used the new 7 Gypsies brad maker. I added a button to the center of it and poked it through a velvet flower.

I am so happy it is Friday! Off to Bloomington, Illinois tomorrow to attend the Special Olympics. I am sure I will have lots of pics on Monday to share with you! HAVE A GREAT weekend!!!

Hi!

Helloooooo Thursday! Just a quick post today to go along with my quick card! I again created a card using the Crafty Secret's Journaling Booklet. I used some old Daisy D's paper. (Again.....can you tell I've been cleaning and rediscovering some old paper?) I just did some distressing, added a title with American Craft's Thickers, and dotted the i with a button. I tied some cream colored tulle at the top and a couple of stick pins. Easy Peasy!

That's it for today!!! Told ya it was a quickie! : )

Embrace Happiness...

Tonight was a whirlwind of activity.......Cort had her last cheerleading practice before the Special Olympics this weekend, and then out to dinner with all of her girlfriends and their moms. It was Patty's 15th birthday. All of us gals have such a good time together! When we got home it was after 9 PM. By the time baths and homework were done it was getting a bit late. Then my son tells me out of the blue, that he needs to bring in 7 pictures for his 6th grade end of year DVD.......by tomorrow! What? It is now 10:00 PM, and NOW you tell me this? So as I was looking through old boxes of extra photos, it made me realize how much my children have grown and changed. How much I've changed. It made me a bit teary looking at their baby photos and my wedding photos. Photos of my pregnancies, first days of school, first haircuts.......etc.....etc...

So I decided to slow down tonight, pull up a chair, and enjoy the memories......and vow to create more. Like spending time with Cort's friends and their moms to celebrate a 15 th birthday......

This card was created using Crafty Secret's Journaling Booklet. The images are beautiful! I used Graphic 45 paper, did some distressing, and added a large flower. The parenthesis was a stamp I had. I stamped it on old book paper in brown, then cut it out. I thought it to be an appropriate card for today......It was a happy day.....

Thanks for stopping by and listening to me rambling! : )

Feeling Nostalgic....

I have a shoebox full of old photos. Some are photos my mom gave me, some are photos that never got put in an album. I found these pics of my son going to his very first day of preschool. I don't know what happened.......apparently I blinked.....because he is now 12! How the heck did THAT happen? Anyway, here is my blond, blue-eyed, dimpled 3 year old on his first day.

I used Noel's Nightingale kit for this LO. I love all the reds!

On a personal note, I am still fighting my cold. Don't have much of a voice, which makes teaching 27 fifth graders a bit tough!

Got my van back......$1200 later..........*sigh*

This weekend we head to Illinois State University for Special Olympics! Cort will be cheering for her basketball team. The girls get to take part in opening ceremonies and everything!

Happy Tuesday to you!!!

Tattered Angels and Crafty Secrets Together!

What could be better than two great companies, like Crafty Secrets and Tattered Angels coming together? I am now totally hooked on Glimmer Mist. I am literally Glimmer Misting EVERYTHING!!! It just gives the prettiest sparkle to everything! For my first project I used Crafty Secret's Chandelier Fun set. I stamped it in Versamark and used clear embossing powder. Then I sprayed it with charcoal Glimmer Mist. I just wiped off the excess with a tissue to reveal the chandelier. I stamped each heart, cut them out, placed them on pop dots, and added pearls to the centers of each. I added some pretty, white tulle and a button. The paper is by Basic Grey. (Porcelain)

Can you see the sparkle?

This LO uses Crafty Secret's Cotton Scraps and Pearl Glimmer Mist. This LO is my sweet nephew last Easter. (yep....totally behind in my scrapbooking!) I used doilies, Prima flowers, and some old Daisy D's paper.

oooooohhhh, sparkly!

For this card I used Crafty Secret's Sweet Stuff set. This sweet image was colored in using my Prismas. To create the tag I used a laser cut piece of scrapbook paper and placed it on a tag. I sprayed it with Vintage Pink Glimmer Mist. I dabbed the excess off with a tissue and pulled the laser cut paper off the tag. I was left with the negative image! I just added a scalloped border to the bottom along with some pearls.

You need to see what the other gals have created! Their projects are absolutely gorgeous!
Wishing you a very happy Monday! : )
