Easter is Right Around the Corner.....

I can't believe that this Sunday is Palm Sunday already. We celebrate this Sunday with my Dad and Step-mom for our "Easter" get together. My sister, step sister and their kids all get together for a brunch and Easter egg hunt. I always look forward to seeing the kids because they are all growing so fast!

I created this Easter card using the newest product by Crafty Secrets called Creative Scraps. I love these images because it makes creating a card super easy. I used a Cuttlebugged background, and a little butterfly pick I found at Michaels. I layered a doily behind the image. Add a ribbon and button, and voila!

So the living room is officially painted. I worked on painting the wood work all day today, washing curtains, dusting all the plaster dust off of everything. Tomorrow we are shopping for new doors. Sounds pretty darn exciting huh? : ) Hope your weekend is great!

Enjoy Life.....

Lately, life has been a bit crazy! We are still in the middle of painting our living room. It is hard to perform your normal routine when the house is turned upside down. I haven't been crafting all week.....which I miss, and I haven't been on the blogs much.......which I miss!

This is a card I made awhile back, and I am hoping I haven't posted it before. I used the Crafty Secret's Sweet Stuff set. I colored the image in with Copics. The paper is SU! and Making Memories. I also used my Nesties!

Just a quickie post tonight......lots of stuff to do! : )

What's Cookin?

I just received a box full of JustRite stamps at my doorstep the other day! I couldn't wait to dive in and play! I decided to play with the What's Cookin' Set first. I separated the sentiment, What's cookin' from the images of the spoons and oven mitt. The sentiment was tucked behind the apron. (Spellbinder's die cut) and I stamped the spoons, cut them out, and tucked them in the pocket. The oven mitt was also stamped, cut out, Crystal lacquered, and attached to the waistband of the apron. The paper is by Graphic 45 and the little apple is by Lockhart Stamps.

*****Feel crazy busy these last few days.....very little computer time. Working, basketball, therapy (For Cort, not me!), Jr. High orientation for Kyle, and PAINTING AND MORE PAINTING in the living room! I need to get in the craft room and create something! Where does the darn time go??
Have a great Wednesday!!!

Paul Frank Ad Inspiration....

Noel Mignon's newest challenge is to use this Paul Frank Ad as inspiration for your scrapbook page. I loved the pale colors and the girl's pipe cleaner crown. Kind of funky and cool eh? I decided to use the pipe cleaners for my title.

See? A cursive pipe cleaner title!

Most of this LO is from the Lovely Day kit. (Which is almost sold out! ) The picture is of Kyle during our annual trip downtown for Christmas. He HAS to shop at the LEGO store every year. He is allowed to pick out one set and this is what he settled on. I Photoshopped the photo by converting it to black and white and coloring in the LEGO box only.

*** We are in the middle of repainting our living room......so our house is pretty much torn apart. My computer had to be relocated to another part of the house, which is really throwing me off! ( I obviously don't deal with change well! LOL!) So I haven't been surfing the blogs as much the last couple of days. I will hopefully get back to it soon! : )

Hoppy Easter!

This week's Bitten By the Bug challenge was to use the bunny from the Doodlecharm's cartridge. I pulled out my Graphic 45 paper.......which I adore! The white paper is old Basic Grey, but I love it because it is soooo distressed!

I pinked up her ears and cheeks with a bit of pink chalk. "Hop" on over (Pun intended! LOL!) to the BBTB site to see what the other girls came up with!!!
***Back to work today.......I know.......no sympathy! : ) Have a great Monday!

Soulology Project

I was lucky enough to be a part of Erika Martin's last on-line class called Journaling 101. It was a course that really got you thinking about the journaling side of your pages. I created LO's I probably wouldn't have if I hadn't taken this amazing course. Here is one of the LO's from that course. (The pic is of my mom and Grandmother. Click on it and you can read my journaling)

Erika is now offering another amazing course called the SOULOLOGY PROJECT. I am excited to be a part of this amazing DT!

If you are looking to make your scrap pages more meaningful......sign up now! Erika really does an amazing job!
