Almost an Angel.....

Seriously, I am a sick person when it comes to my new dog, Skippers. I have a problem..... a serious problem.......this dog has me completely wrapped around his paw! I have become one of those crazy dog owners. And the funny thing is, this is my 4th dog! I've had 2 Pomeranians and a pug before this little guy. I have always loved my dogs.....but not this goofy! What is it about this little fur ball? I think it must be his sweet disposition! So why only 99 % angel? Weeelllll, he does like to dig in the backyard...... a lot! Nothing worse than a white dog coming in with mud up to his knees, and his face completely black! I guess that will HAVE to be a scrap page at some point! LOL!

There he is with his angel wings! All he is missing is his halo!

Been using some old vintage crocheted doilies for my LO's. I cut off the scallops to create the center of these flowers. This LO was done with Noel Mignon's Lovely Days kit.
I am off today, but I have lots of cleaning, shopping, and baking to do for Easter. So it will be super busy! Hope everyone has a wonderful Easter!

Kyle picked lucky number 7! That means Jocelyne is the winner! She said:

Blog Candy.....Yay this candy does not add calories!!!! Love it!!! Thanks for giving us a chance to win these yummies!!!! Happy Wednesday!

Please e-mail me your address and I will get these out to you right away! Thanks everyone for playing along!

Happy Easter....and last day for BLOG CANDY!

I know how cliche it sounds to say, "Where does the time go?" But seriously, Easter? Already? It must be a sign of me getting older! I purchased my spiral ham and smoked turkey last night. Hubby does all the grocery shopping, so I am currently working on a shopping list for him. (Yep, I am a lucky spoiled girl! LOL) Since Easter is just a couple of days away, I wanted to post this card I made using the Crafty Secrets, Easter Joy set.

The paper is Basic Grey. The tag was distressed using coffee grounds and then sprayed with Tattered Angels, Glimmer Mist in pink. The lil' bunny and eggs were colored in using Copics.
I popped the eggs up with pop dots!
** So I am still on the Soma for my back. I am finding it difficult to sit at the computer or craft for too long. It is a bit frustrating to feel this annoying, throbbing, toothachey type of pain all day long. So I may have to give in and go to a specialist......maybe after Easter.
Don't forget, I pick a winner tonight for my BLOG CANDY! Hurry to enter!!!

How About Some Blog Candy?

I am loving these new Crafty Secret's Creative Scraps so much, that I would love to do a lil' giveaway! Just leave a comment by this Thursday night, and I will pick a random winner to receive these beauties!

Edited: I added on these Domestic Goddess Scraps too! Easter is this weekend....so I thought it would be fun to have something to create with after the holiday!

Since the image is a bit small......don't know why, just click HERE for a better look!

Swimming with Lovely Days!

First, thank you for all of your concern over my back. I actually went to the doctor today who gave me a muscle relaxant and stated that I had many knots and spasms. I was actually concerned it could be pneumonia since I've had my cough for about 7 weeks. My lungs were clear.....so that was good! So maybe between caring for an 85 lb child, painting all day Saturday, and the persistent cough I've had was enough for my back to call it quits for a couple of days. Needless to say, blogging and crafting have taken a bit of a back seat.

Anyway, on to the LO! I used Noel's latest kit called Lovely Days. It is such a fun, happy kit! It worked perfectly with Cort's inner tube and bathing suit colors!

Cort is happiest when in the water. Her little body suddenly becomes "free" when swimming. She kicks and moves like a crazy girl! She stays in so long her fingers, toes, and every other part of her body becomes a wrinkled prune! This pic was taken at the hotel a few weeks ago while at Special Olympics. The only way to get her out of the pool without a lot of tears and drama, was the promise of a delicious dinner! : )
Aren't those hot pink Prima flowers the prettiest happiest flowers you've ever seen?
Tomorrow I will be offering some blog candy..... : ) : )

............It's Monday?

Seriously Monday? How the heck did THAT happen? It seems like only moments ago I was shopping for new doors and having dinner with my little family......when BOOM! The weekend is over already!

We did manage to get our doors, and have them installed on Saturday. I painted doors and wood work allllllllll day! We had our Palm Sunday lunch yesterday. My step sister's kids were sick and weren't able to make it. So I didn't get a chance to see them. I did get some great pics though of my other niece and nephew on their Easter egg hunt and trying on some Easter bonnets! Will be scrappin' those babies soon!

Unfortunately, my back is feeling the effects of painting allllll day on Saturday! LOL! I am suffering a bit because of it. Went to bed early last night , took my Aleve, and did absolutely nothing crafty last night......bummer.

I did manage to make this card Friday night for a baby shower I was invited to.

It uses Crafty Secret's Cotton Scraps. I love these because they are fabric and you can pull the ends and unravel them a bit. The images are so detailed and beautiful.
I used Melissa Frances, vintage book paper, buttons, and a doily. I added some tulle and stick pins to soften it up a bit.
Off to take some more Aleve, head to work, and pray that this back pain goes away soon.......
Have a great day! : )
