Crafty Secrets Design Team Blog Hop!

This week Vicki challenged us to make a project or nonstandard sized card using our Crafty Secrets stamps. I just bought a new Cricut cartridge called, In the Kitchen. It has the cutest darn cuts on it! For my first card I created a card that holds a Starbucks gift card. I cut the coffee pot several times to create the layers as well as the shadow cut for the back of the card. The paper is by October Afternoon and SU! I used the "sugar" cubes from the Coffee & Tea set. I stamped them and added a bit of rosy color to their cheeks. I applied Crystal Effects and glitter to 'em!

For my next card I created a soup pot card. I used the same cartridge with October Afternoon paper. After cutting several layers and putting them together, I stamped this cute lil' girl from the Sweet Stuff set. She was colored with Copics and then cut out with my oval Nesties.
I just added some buttons and a bit of sparkle to the pot with some glittery Doodlebug paper.

I hope you enjoyed these projects! Head on over to the other girlies' blogs for some more amazing projects! They continually knock my socks off with their creativity!

A Thanksgiving Wish....

I have been playing with some of my new holiday stamps lately, trying to get a head start on some of my holiday card making! This is a new Thanksgiving set by Crafty Secrets. I colored it with my Copics then cut it out with my rectangular Nestibility. The edges were distressed a bit. The DP is by Papertrey Ink. I added a bow tied with a rustic button and twine.

This will be a short lil' post as I am fighting a terrible headache! I need to take some aspirin (For the 3rd time today) and go lay across the couch. No crafting tonight for me........ : (

Back to School Note....

I wanted to post a little something I created awhile ago using Noel Mignon's Homeroom kit. I again used scraps of paper from the kit and used my circle punch. Michelle Lanning (Fellow DT member at Noel Mignon) hosted a challenge to use crayons as part of the card. What a cute idea that was! I loved how it turned out! I just tied some pretty felt ribbon and added a little tag to it. Such a perfect card to give to a teacher!I have been slowly breaking in my scrap room. It is so clean that I don't want to mess it up! LOL! I think the ole' mojo is starting to come back. I will have some fun stuff to share with you tomorrow and Friday! : ) Thanks for stopping and leaving such sweet comments......they sure do make my day!

Happy Everything!

Happy Monday! I had such a busy weekend........again that my crafting time was pretty minimal! Our house is finally taking shape and we are doing the fun stuff like hanging pictures and such. We purchased a bed frame and headboard for Kyle since he will no longer be sleeping in a bunk bed. We also looked at new carpeting and took a few samples home. I think we've decided on a color and can't wait to have it installed!

So with that said, I am posting a card I made awhile ago for a challenge hosted by yours truly during our Sizzlin' Summer Crop. The challenge was to use punches and scraps of paper you hate to part with. I used Noel's Penny Arcade kit and my SU! square punch. The edges were inked up with Tim Holtz Frayed Burlap ink. The butterfly was created with my Spellbinders. I added some stick pins for his antennae and a lil' flower for his body. The frame and rub on are by Melissa Frances.

I am off to work! Have a great day everyone!!! : )
