Some Sneaks & Community Service!

OK, I have to just say this......this week totally stunk! I've had a sick child home all week, my van needs repairs, and today, my main computer crashed due to some crazy virus! Talk about aggravating! So I am currently working on it to remove the virus. So this post is a bit late in going up.....obviously, since it is after 8 o'clock at night! I know, keep it in perspective, it is ONLY a computer. And Cort is feeling better......so I shouldn't complain.

Anyway, I have a few sneaks of a brand new kit coming out by Noel Mignon, called, Object of My Affection! You can see some of the kit's contents HERE! Here are some lovey dovey cards I made........ : )

As always, Noel does a fabulous job of packing this kit with such unique vintage finds as well as lots of brand new stuff! SWOON!!!
I'll show you all of it on the 18th when the kit comes out! Order yours fast.....they won't last long!

I also have this to share with you....... : )
I created this LO of my son, Kyle from various papers in my stash. Lots of October Afternoon, some Jenni Bowlin stuff, and a cute dog iron-on from Michaels. He collected items to benefit our local animal shelter. You can read more about his service project below. : )

................*sigh* I'm takin' a deep breath, tomorrow is a brand new day..........
Have a wonderful weekend!

New 3D Shadow Boxes and Altered Fairy Scraps for CHA

Our talented DT leader Vicki Chrisman came up with a fantastic idea for two 3D shadow box cards and Crafty Secrets has teamed up with AccuCut to release both of Vicki's dies at the upcoming CHA show! Each of the dies is designed to work great with Crafty Secret's new Altered Fairy Scraps. Today is our Design Team Preview to show you these versatile dies and the new Fairy scraps!

Available in a portrait or landscape style, each card has a center shadow box style "stage" to showcase a multitude of creative themes and styles. You can create photos, keepsakes, 3D cards, shaker cards, altered art and dioramas! Both dies will be available from AccuCut and discounted 25% off for orders placed at the CHA Show. Crafty Secrets will also be selling kits, with or without the Fairy Scraps included.

You can ask your favorite store to order these dies and most stores will let you use their dies if you by the paper you want to cut from them. AccuCut sells to a variety of retail stores, teachers, kit clubs, and consumers. They will be available to order online in Feb.

I pieced 4 of the shadow dies together to create a hanging lantern! I used the Crafty Secret's Wildflower set. I stamped on vellum with Staz On and embossed using one of my Sizzix dies to "frame" the image. I colored the back of the vellum with my Copics. I airbrushed the back as well to give it a bit of color. I dressed up each of the panels with rhinestones. I put the 4 panels together with the sticky red tape. I punched holes in the corners and threaded my satin ribbon through. I used a 7 Gypsies hanging "thingy" for the top of the lantern. I also created a false bottom so I could put a tea light in it.

The inside.............. : )

Here it is all lit up..........
Love how it looks at night.......so soft and pretty........

I also created a 3D shadow box using the new Fairy Scraps. I used lots of glitter and lace.....

Love the depth here........

The design team has created such beautiful projects!! Head on over to check them out! You will SWOON!!!

Another JustRite Release!

I have another JustRite set to share with you! This one is also being released this Friday. It is called, My Garden. I used the Morning Glory image for my card. I colored it with Copics, added teeny tiny rhinestones, and touches of glitter. I also airbrushed while circle Nestibility was still in place. The small scalloped circle is actually a Martha Stewart die cut. The border image was stamped and cut with my large circle Nestibility. The edges were inked and the tiny rhinestones were added all the way around the circle. The paper is by Making Memories. I added a Papertrey ribbon and sentiment, various stick pins, and edged with glitter.

See those itty bitty rhinestones? Those are actually for nails. Yep.....nails. Told ya, they were tiny! (Even while at Sally's Beauty Supply store, I think about this damn craft! It's a sickness ladies........and you're all right there with me!)
Want more sneaks? (Dumb question right?)
Check out what these gals have created!

New Release by JustRite!

I am so excited to share a new set by JustRite being released this Friday!!! All of the new sets coming out are so beautiful and fun to color! This image is part of the Plant a Little Love set. It has 4 centers and borders in a 3 1/2 inch size. I chose the Wild Roses image. I colored them in with Copics, cut the image out, covered it with Crystal Effects and sprinkled the centers with a bit of glitter. I love the dimension the Crystal Effects gives the image! I also popped it up a bit with pop dots. I used my new Martha Stewart border punch for the top, along with a bit of sewing. The satin ribbon is from Michaels, and the lace is from Wal-Mart. (yep........Wal-Mart!)
I am not sure who makes the polka dot paper.......cuz it was a piece from my "scrap" pile. The plastic rose is from Making Memories.
Want a few more sneaks? Head on over to the other DT gals' blogs!
There will be sneaks all week along with our Garden Blog Hop on the 18th!!! : )
