A Little Christmas....A Little Enabling!

Good morning to you! I can't believe it is Friday already and I will be returning to school on Monday. This summer has flown by at warped speed! It has been busy but fun and I am a bit sad to see it go! I have a card to show you today as well as some important information to enable you just a bit! ; ) I created this card using JustRite's Christmas Ornament set. The image was colored with Copics and cut out using the Spellbinder's Scalloped Octagon. I left the die in place and did a bit of airbrushing. I stamped the sentiment with Black Memento ink and cut it out with the Spellbinder's circles and again left the dies in place while airbrushing. I cut out a scalloped circle as well. I layered the pieces and added dimensional foam squares under the circular sentiment to give it dimension. I also added tiny pearls. The rest of the card was Cuttlebugged and glittered. I added ribbons to the top as a final touch!
I love the dimension using foam squares gives!!!
..................ahhhhhhhh........glitter!......I looooooove glitter!!!!

Relay for Life...American Cancer Society!

Happy Thursday to you! I have been so scattered and busy lately that I completely forgot to post my pics from my weekend walking for the American Cancer Society. All the teachers I work with walked with me and raised money for this event. Our booth sold several things to raise money, one of which were these little note cards. The teachers and I had a fun night prior to the cancer walk just stamping in assembly line fashion! I kept the LO simple so that we could stamp a bunch and bundle them in groups of 3 to sell. The stamp is by Papertrey Ink. We embossed, stamped, and used a Spellbinder's die to cut the image out.

One of the teachers was a good sport and let us do her hair as crazy as possible! The idea is that you collect money from the other people atItalic the event. And hopefully because you look absolutely ridiculous that people will pity you and give you donations! LOL!

One of the other booths had a station where you could make a cement garden stone. : )

All in all it is a fun night for a great charity! Our team won the Silver Medal! We raised over $4,000! Awesome!!!
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!!!!

Applique' Card by JustRite!

Good morning! The weather in the Windy City has been glorious the past two days! The humidity is very low, and for the first time all summer, I was able to open up the house and turn the air off! I love listening to the summer noises....lawnmowers, kids, cicadas, birds singing.....all of it!

I have a little card to share with you today. It measures 3 x 3 and was cut out using the Spellbinder's scalloped square. I then left the die on, and ran it through the Cuttlebug using the Swiss Dots folder. This leaves the edges embossed-free! I stamped JustRite's Applique Decorative Centers twice with Versamark and embossed it using white embossing powder. I colored it with my Copics. I cut out the center and placed it on a pop dot. I cut that out using a smaller Spellbinder's scalloped square and a piece of Hibiscus felt behind it. (Papertrey Ink) I added a ribbon from Papertrey, a button, and a few rhinestones for the middle.
I hope you have a fantastic day!!! Thanks so much for stopping by!!!!

Halloween Crafty Secret's Style!

I have a couple of Halloween wall hangings to share with you today! I know it is only August, but seriously, Halloween is my favorite holiday of the year! So it is never too early! : ) I found these little cheap wooden frames in the kid's crafty section at Michaels and bought a bunch to alter. They work perfectly with the Crafty Secret's Creative Scraps. I painted the frame black, let it dry, added Crystal Effects and tons of black glitter to it! The images are from the Halloween Double Sided Creative Scraps! The bat was punched using my Martha Stewart punch. The little witch was cut out and Crystal Effects was added to her as well. It makes the paper heavier and more substantial.
This next frame is actually chipboard that Crafty Secrets carries. I love it because it takes the Glimmer Mist so well! IRL it is super sparkly! I inked the edges a bit and added black Stickles around the image. (Also from the Halloween Creative Scraps) I stamped the stars at the bottom using the mini stamps that come in the Halloween Postcard kit.
The back was stamped using those stamps again from the Halloween Postcard kit.

Maybe tomorrow I'll post something summery......since it won't be long before we are all grumbling about the snow! LOL!
Off to run a million errands! Have a great day my friends!!!!

Sunday Post!

My house is quiet at the moment.....hubby golfing, kids still sleeping, and it is just me and my cup of coffee this morning! So I decided to post today! I have a JustRite card to share with you that was originally created for CHA. It uses the Birthday Centers 1 5/8 set and Melissa Frances papers, tulle, vintage lace, and lots of stitching! The sentiment was stamped with Versamark and heat embossed in gold. I did a bit airbrushing to give it a bit of color and added 3 pearls. Don't forget that JustRite is offering everyone a FREE catalog! Click HERE for more info on how you can get yours! : )

I am so thrilled that I have nowhere to go today....no chasing, no errands.....just hanging out with the kids by the pool. Only one week left before we all go back to school.....so I want to savor this last bit of summer! Have a fabulous Sunday!!!
