Crafty Secrets and Vintage Giveaway!

I have a giveaway to share with you today a little further down in my post, but I first wanted to share a card I created using my favorite Rose image by Crafty Secrets. I just purchased Tim Holtz' new Watercolor markers, and I have to tell ya.....I LOVE Them!  They are so much fun to work with! I love the "watercolor" effect that it gives and the depth of color.
After coloring the roses and leaves, I sponged the entire top of the card with Tea Dye Distress Ink.  After inking it up, I sprayed it with water and dabbed it with a towel.  It gives this beautiful aged, splattered appearance.  To finish off the card, I just added a bit of lace, twine, sentiment, and stick pins.
I love giving stuff away and making someone's day, so today I have a VINTAGE giveaway to ONE lucky person!
It is a suitcase packed with vintage goodies from my favorite companies!

A Closer look at what's inside! : )
A Stamp set from My Craft Spot and a mini album from Doodlebug!
Glassine bags filled with flowers, buttons, sequins, journaling cards, and little handpainted/glittered jingle bells!
All you need to do is become a follower, subscribe, or post my badge on your blog AND tell me what fun summer plans you have! That's it!  I love hearing about your lives and this is such a great way to get connected with you!  The blog candy will close Thursday night at 10 PM CST.
Off to a pool party with Cortney today! Have a great day my friends!

I absolutely adore your vintage rose card...
Our family is doing a lot, but separately! Our oldest son graduated
from college, got a job and is
working on a home he bought. Our
second son is taking a couple classes
while at home and working! Then,
he will return to the University
of Minnesota. I keep busy by crafting
and my husband is putting in a lot
of hours at work. Then, he is going to Japan for work...Many thanks, Cindi

I added your button to my blog. I absolutely love your work! This summer my hubby and I aren't getting to go on vacation for lack of leave time (on his part) so he is taking me for a long weekend to a scrapbooking convention! Can't wait!

Michele, what a lovely card! You always choose the most perfect colors for your projects! Sounds like we might be seeing a lot more watercolored cards in the future! Hurray!
I am a follower, if you couldn't guess and this summer I plan on enjoying time with my kids and trying to make sure they have a nice time off of school. I'm hoping to work on the school album for my daughter who will be graduating 8th grade next year as well as a shadow box I want to make for my hubby's birthday at the end of July. Thanks for all you share and enjoy your summer!

I've been a subscriber for a little while. The rose on your card is very stunning. Right now I am trying to decide between Chatanooga or Nashville for a 4 day getaway! We are split right down the middle.

I have been a follower of your blog for some time and always enjoy your writing and especially sharing your life and your girl with us. You are truly an inspiration. I plan to try to keep up with the water requirements for my flowers and lil garden. Colorado needs rain!

OMG, I am doing it all, following, subscribing, putting your button on my blog, pinning you on my craft board, following you on facebook, have I missed anything?
This summer I joined my first swap and need to find vintage sewing stuff so I will be haunting flea markets, also planning a Montana family reunion and getting email invitations out and making western hootenanny decorations for the reunion.
I would love a chance to win and then play with Crafty Secrets CD's.
Thanks for the giveaway.

Wow this is a stunning card! Love the highlights on the flowers, the blue outline against the tea dye distress ink.. Just truly inspiring :) I have been following you since sometime this year, sorry I don't know exactly when. And not sure if I'm too late for this or if we have till next Thursday for the candy? BTW, my candy is nowhere near as awesome, but if you're needing some stickers, pop on over to my blog and enter away :) Hugs

Your tag is the first one I have been able to attach to my blog. I learned something today. :-)
