Christmas Boxes

I have a couple more projects to share with you that I created for SRM Stickers. I used my Cricut and the new Close to my Heart Artiste Cartridge to create these fun little boxes! They were super easy and fast to make!  I just tied the ends with a bit of red twine.  I attached the SRM sticker to cream card stock and punched it out with a circle punch.
I inked the edges of the circles a bit, applied a bit of glossy accents, and sprinkled it with glitter.

I added a couple of jingle bells tied with black string as a finishing touch.
Thank you for your well wishes regarding my little pup, Myla.  She isn't home yet, but did well after the surgery. I am picking her up this afternoon. I miss the little bugger!
Have a great weekend!

Guest Blogger....

I got in my classroom yesterday to peruse the situation.....and realized I needed to do a bit of shopping! My Smartboard is installed which meant I needed two short bookshelves to place in front of it to hide the cords. (Any excuse to go shopping for this gal!) ; ) I also decided that one of my bookshelves has seen better days....so I bought royal blue spray paint and am planning on going back tomorrow to paint it. I love being able to add a bit of color to my classroom!

I was lucky enough to be a guest designer for SRM stickers this week. I've met Susan twice now at CHA and she is the sweetest person ever! My first card uses strips of glitter tape by American Crafts. I just lined it up on paper and took a square Spellbinders's die and placed it over the tape. The flowers were cut using my Cricut and the Flower Shoppe Cartridge.
I added my SRM sticker, some twine, and rhinestones to finish it off.
My puppy Myla is going in for her little "surgery" today.  No puppies for this little gal.  I know it is a routine surgery, but she is so little and a surgery is a surgery.  So I worry.....a lot, a little!
Hugs to all of you!

Crafty Secret's Linky Party!

I am heading to school today to start setting up my classroom. I am excited for a new school year to start, but sad that this summer flew by so quickly! My school has installed Smartboards in each of the classrooms. It is such a motivating tool for the students! But it also means I have lots of learning to do myself! So over the next few weeks I will be playing a lot, experimenting, creating lessons, and making sure I know this new "computer" well. : )

I created this fun little card using Crafty Secret's Pixie Wishes set.   I colored everything with Copics and did a bit of fussy cutting.  I am a bit crazy when it comes to dimension.  I just can't do a flat card....it isn't in me!  So the mushrooms and elf were popped up with pop dots. I tied a bit of twine around the image and cut the circles and squares out using Spellbinder's dies.
Crafty Secret's is hosting their August Linky Party!
Anyone can join in on the Crafty Secret's Linky Party by posting a sample HERE  that you have created using Crafty Secret's products. JustRite Papercraft's August Christmas Release!

Good morning to you! Today is JustRite's last day or their August release! I hope you have enjoyed all of the new stamps! Today's set is a Christmas set called, Antique Christmas Tags One. I found this cute cut on my Cricut and thought the stamp would go perfectly with it!  It was stamped in traditional Christmas colors, red and green.  I used the Spellbinder's die, Antique Tags One to cut out the sentiment.  The poinsettia is from the Joy to the World Medallion Labels.  It was colored with Copics twice and cut out.
I added a few pearls, rhinestones, and ribbon to dress it up a bit!

Have a great day! Thank you so much for your visits!!!

Shabby Chic Autumn Leaves

Good morning friends! I hope you had a great weekend! We hung out at home because we are in the process of having our basement redone. The painting of the knotty pine is completed,  and the woodwork was installed. The contractor is coming back today to install new lighting and change out some of our old outlets. IT's amazing how much those little touches can change the look of a room!

JustRite has come out with a GORGEOUS new fall set called, Shabby Chic Autumn Leaves. I adore this set. The leaves are so realistic with just a hint of vintage. I stamped them with brown Memento and took a dauber and added a bit of green, pink, yellow, and orange.  The delicious silk ribbon if from Sharon Johnson's Stamp Simply store. I covered my metal bucket with some burlap and tied the ribbon into a great big bow.  The leaves were clustered together and added to the center of the bow. I added some rusty jingle bells tied with black string as a finishing touch.
As always the DT has outdone themselves.....so be sure to check out their fabulous projects!!!
