Our Vacation

Good morning and happy Friday to you!  I wanted to share some of my pictures from our family vacation to Mexico.  I took quite a few, but these were some of my favorite ones.
We are truly blessed to have the opportunity to travel with our kids.  I think it is so important for them to experience new things.  And this goes for Cortney as well. She has traveled everywhere with us and I am so glad she was able to share these memories with us.
There are certain challenges when traveling with a disabled child though.  There are worries, concerns, and a bit of stress that goes along with it. Fortunately, I have a great husband who works well with me.  We are a team in every sense of the word.
:)
Let the vacation begin......
We were able to get a couple of family photos done.....and the best part? Cort was taken out of her wheelchair.  I love the fact that we are all so close and cozy in these pictures.  It is a rarity.  There is something about a wheelchair that inhibits that closeness in photos.
My girl enjoying the dolphin show and swimming!
Kyle and I were able to swim with the dolphins.  What an amazing experience it was!  We did the "foot push" and everything! It was definitely something that was on my "bucket list!"
Every now and then while taking photos, I get one that I consider my "Money Shot."  It is that one shot that captures the subject so perfectly.  This one of Cort was one of them.  I love the hat, the blue eye peeking out from beneath the brim, and her sun kissed cheeks and nose. :)
And this handsome boy in his wet suit getting ready to scuba dive!
This one makes my heart swoon.......
I am a bit behind in my crafting, so I am hoping to play a bit of catch up this weekend!  Gotta meet those deadlines! ;)

What are you up to this weekend? Anything exciting?

JustRite's April Release-Vintage Banners!

Grab your sunglasses folks, today's card is a bright one! No soft vintage colors used today! I created this fun happy card using JustRite's brand new set called, Vintage Banners.  I combined two of the sentiments and stamped it in red.  I cut it out using a circle Spellbinder's die.
The card itself was a cut found once again in the Silhouette store.  I cut out the sun's rays with orange paper and added glossy accents and Martha Stewart's clear coarse glitter.  I added a giant red bow and some yellow pearls to finish it off.
This set is so versatile!  I love the sayings and fonts!

Have a great day my friends! :)

JustRite's April Release-Mr. & Mrs. Vintage Labels Four!

It is Day 3 of JustRite's new release! We are quickly approaching wedding season, and this set is absolutely perfect! It is called, Mr. & Mrs. Vintage Labels Four.
To create my card, I found this couple from the Silhouette Store. I thought it paired perfectly with this set.  I stamped the frame and sentiment with Versamark and sprinkled it with silver embossing powder.
The frame was given a touch of color using Tim Holtz Distress markers. I added seam binding and a bit of pink ribbon, along with a couple of Forget Me Nots.  (You can find these cute little flowers at A Pink Swan).  The paper doily behind the frame and couple was cut using a Papertrey Ink die.
Here is the entire set!
The design team has come up with some fun and "out of the box" projects! Be sure to pay them a visit!
Have a wonderful day!
It is my first day back to work!
Reality has struck! ;)

JustRite's New April Release!

Good morning friends!  Guess what today is?  It is JustRite's Day Two of April's Release AND the day after I arrived home from Mexico!  Yep, the family and I took a week long jaunt to Riviera Maya.  I never like to announce those things ahead of time, so I had my blog posts predone.  Now I am doing a lot of catching up! ;)
But first, let's take a look at a brand new set called, True Friends.  I love this stamp because it is a larger image and takes center stage.  I used Tim Holtz Distress Markers and did the same card in two different color schemes. The first card was done with oranges and blues.  The image coordinates perfectly with Spellbinder's Label's Four die.
I added a few rhinestones and a pretty clear button for the center. The background was given subtle texture with an embossing plate from Papertrey Ink.
Here is my second card done with reds and blues.  I used a red clear button and dark pink rhinestones.
Here is the set in its entirety.  It is such a pretty set.

I will post some of my vacation photos when I get caught up on the mountains of laundry! Today is my "get caught up" day! ;)  Glad to be back.......

Crafty Secret's DT Challenge and Linky Party!

Welcome to April's Crafty Secret's DT challenge and linky party! This month's theme is to use a sewing theme.  All of Crafty Secret's new sewing theme designs are over the top gorgeous! I used the Printable Button cards digital set. I  added a couple of flowers made with papers printed from the Vintage Papers CD collection and a Spellbinder's die.
The card itself was cut using the Decorative Labels Eight        die by Spellbinders.  I love the soft delicate looks it gives the card.
I added a few pearls to dress it up a bit.

Have a great day everyone!
