JustRite's New Release Day 3!

Good morning and happy weekend to all of you!
I have another brand new JustRite set for you today designed by Samantha Walker.  It is called Doilies and Lace. I love the look of doilies...they are so wonderfully soft and girly!
I found this super cute cut over at the Silhouette Store.  I love shaped cards and this one fit the bill perfectly!
I stamped various doilies from the set in white, green, and yellow embossing powders.  (Zing)  I cut each one out individually and stacked them using dimensional foam circles. This created my large flower that became my focal point. I added a bit of glitter to the edges, pink seam binding, and a rhinestone.
Here is the entire set.........so lovely!
Be sure to visit the other talented designers for more inspiration using this set!

Have a great Saturday!

JustRite's New Release Day 2!

TGIF! I am in the home stretch with school! One more week to go and this gal is out for the summer! No strict schedules, a much slower pace, spending time with the family.....
I have another JustRite set to show you today called, Chicken Soup Labels Four.  You can never have enough get well sets!  I decided to actually use an empty soup can as a vessel for my little get well goodies. There is Vick's Vapor Rub at the bottom of the can, Chapstick, and cute Kleenex.  (Everyone needs cute Kleenex don't they? ;) )
I used my Tim Holtz Distress Markers to color the image.  I sponged around the edges with Distress ink.  I used the coordinating Spellbinder's die, Labels Four to cut out the image.  I added Stickles to the spoon for some sparkly medicine.  I did add felt around the lip of the can as a safety measure.  I wanted to make sure that any sharp edges were covered!
Here is the rest of the set.  A total MUST HAVE!  This is such a cute, cute set!
Be sure to visit the other creative designers.  They have created such great projects!

I don't always post on the weekends, but this weekend is an exception.....be sure to check back for more of JustRite's new releases!
Have a great Friday!!

JustRite's June Release Day 1!

It's that time again where JustRite is revealing their brand new sets!  I love this time of the month!  Today's set is called, Let Your Soul Sing It has all of these great mix and match pieces.  I have been on an embossing kick lately and used several of my Zing powders.  I embossed on black paper and cut it out with Spellbinder's Gold Labels 4.
I added rhinestones to the flowers' centers and added a larger satin flower, seam binding, and a couple of sprigs of tulle.
I created a few "buds" with satin and some silk stamens I had on hand. I tucked them in around the larger flower.
Here is the set in its entirety.  :)
Be sure to pay the other designers a visit! I know I always say this, but their projects will knock your socks off!

Happy Thursday! Have a great day!!

20 Years.....

Good morning!  I have a Crafty Secrets card to share with you today.  It uses a digital image from the Button Up set .  I colored the flowers with Copic Markers and added coordinating rhinestones to the center.   I used a scalloped rectangular die from Spellbinders to cut the image out.  I did a bit of sponging around the die to give it a bit of depth.
I added glossy accents to the jar to emulate water.  I tied purple satin ribbon around the image and added a flower that was created using my Silhouette.
20 years ago I married my best friend.  We were just kids at the time and had no idea what life had in store for us.  But we took a vow, for better or worse. We had no idea what those vows really meant until "life" happened, but we found out that we could handle it.
Not everything in our life has been exactly what we had expected, but the good stuff has been even better than we could have imagined.  I wouldn't have wanted to share it with anyone else.
We're in this together-for better, for worse, for always.

Have a great day my friends!

Apple Box Part Two!

Good morning and Happy Memorial Day to all of you!
I shared with you how I created these satin flowers in my post HERE.  I have a second take on my apple box using these flowers.  This box I painted in a pale eggshell blue.  I spread glossy accents across the top and sprinkled it with Martha Stewart glitter.
The flowers were actually made from my MIL's old slip.  Yep.  It was my first attempt at these flowers before I shopped for more satin. ;)  It worked beautifully! I added some black floss to the centers as well as a rhinestone.
I added some Prima velvet leaves and cream "branches."
I added this little light bulb from Junkyard findings.  I love layering my items into a cluster.  :)
I am off to spend the afternoon organizing and cleaning my basement.  It is kind of a rainy, gloomy day here, perfect for cleaning!
We are stopping to have homemade BBQ ribs made from Dr. Pepper.
YUM!
Have a great day my friends!
