Last Day of JustRite's September Release-Water Lily and Baking Antique Tags One!

Good morning and happy weekend to you my friends! Today is the last day of JustRite's September release!  Today you get more bang for your buck because I have TWO different sets to show you!
The first set is so much fun and completely up my alley! It is called, Baking Antique Tags One. Jars are so popular right now and I totally love this trend!
I decided to create a shaker card, so I stamped the jar and hand cut the center.  I placed a piece of acetate behind the "window" and stamped the jar once more to place behind the first jar.  I used dimensional foam circles to adhere them together.  (Be sure to place sequins in first before sealing it up!)
I cut my flower using my Silhouette, stamped my sentiment in red and cut it out with a Spellbinder's heart die. I added a little bit of silver string for a finishing touch.

My second card today uses another darling set called, Frog and Water Lily.  I always love the opportunity to color images! I stamped the image with Versamark and embossed it in black.  I used my Inktense pencils to color it in. I cut the image out using a Spellbinder's circle die.  The doily behind it was cut using a Papertrey Ink die.
I love Shrinky Dinks and decided to stamp the frog on a sheet of it.  I gave him a little bit of color, cut him out, and shrunk 'em!  I used it as an accent on my felt flower. :)

The other ladies have gorgeous projects so be sure to pay them a visit this weekend!

Have a beautiful weekend!

JustRite's New Release-The Scoop Vintage Labels Four

Good morning and happy Friday to you my sweet friends!  I apologize for the short posts this week.  I've been pretty much "cutting'" to the chase this week.
Life has been hectic to say the least and I am hoping that once we all settle into a routine that things will settle down a bit. If not I may have to take some stock in wine or something! ;)

Today is day 5 of JustRite's September release. This darling set is called, The Scoop Vintage Labels Four.
I decided to take the chalkboard route with this card. I gave the ice cream some color and sparkle using glitter and a red rhinestone for the cherry. The image was cut out using Spellbinder's Vintage Labels Four. I matted it one more time in pink using Labels Fourteen.  I snuck a bit of hot pink pom pom trim at the top and bottom of the card.
I added some fun coordinating ribbon to tie it all together!

For more inspiration on how to use this adorable set, please pop on over to the other designer's blogs.

I will be back tomorrow for the last two releases for this month!
Have a great Friday!!

Day 4 of JustRite's September Release-Grand Birthday Sentiments!

Today is day 4 of JustRite's September release.  Today's set is called Grand birthday Sentiments. It has the most beautiful font and was perfect to create a tag for my cake box.
The cake box was cut using my Silhouette.  I stamped the top of the lid with the Filigree Leaves background stamp in Versamark and sprinkled it with white embossing powder.
The sentiment was stamped on a tag with Versamark and sprinkled with gold embossing powder.  I added a bit of lace and a few sequins.  I also added a homemade satin peony to the top.
I had a few sprigs of gold glittery leaves and decided to poke them in here and there.  To "connect" the flower/tag to the box, I added seam binding and a bit of tulle.  This helps to tie it all together.
Supplies:
Stamps: JustRite (Filigree Leaves, Grand Birthday Sentiments)
White and gold embossing powder: Zing
Versamark
Satin: Hobby Lobby
Cake Box: Silhouette
Seam binding: Schiff

Birthday Cake Background Stamp-JustRite's September Release Day 3!

I hope you are enjoying all of the new releases by JustRite so far!
Today I have a set perfect for those birthdays in your life! It has so many fun details!
The set is called, Birthday Cake Background.
To give the stamp a variety of colors I used my Tim Holtz distress markers.  I cut out the center circle by hand so I could include a picture of my cute niece and nephew on their birthdays this past summer. At the top of the cut out, I added a rolled flower cut using the Bitty Blossoms Spellbinder's die.  I added a bit of ribbon as well.
To add some further interest to the frame I added pink Flower Soft, glitter to the cake, and several sequins at the bottom.

The rest of the team has fabulous projects to share, so be sure to pay them a visit!

Have a great day!!!

Filigree Leaves Background Stamp

I hope you all had a fun weekend!  We spent our day yesterday by the pool with good friends.  Cortney is always a happy camper whenever she gets the opportunity to swim!
Today is Day 2 of JustRite's September Release.  Today's stamp is a beautiful background stamp designed by the talented, Becca Feekin. It is called Filigree Leaves.  I went in a direction with this card that I don't normally take.....bold! I tend to like the soft pastel colors.....but sometimes it's good to play and experiment a bit.  I found this card in the Silhouette store.  I stamped the Filigree leaves with Versamark and embossed them in a powder blue Zing powder.
I popped up the panel with dimensional foam circles so I could slip my satin ribbon a bit underneath.  I had these sparkly jewels by Webster's Pages and thought they were perfect for this card.

Supplies:
Paper: Papertrey Ink (pink, blue, black)
Versamark
Zing embossing powder
Satin Ribbon: Papertrey Ink
Jewels: Webster's Pages
Card design: Silhouette

Today kicks off September's new releases by JustRite! I LOVE this time of the month when we get to showcase all of the new beautiful stamps!
Today's set is perfect for fall (my absolute favorite time of the year!). It is called, Autumn Vintage Labels Three. It was stamped in brown Memento ink and given a hint of color using my Inktense pencils. Crafty Secret's Design Team Challenge and Linky Party!

GOOD MORNING!!! :)
Today is Crafty Secret's Design Team Challenge and Linky Party!  I also have a step by step tutorial on how I created my decorated burlap bag!
I am starting to gear up for fall and my favorite holiday, Halloween. I chose this journal owl image from the Crafty Secret's Halloween Digital set.
I didn't have any photo transfer paper so I decided to experiment and see if there was a way for me to print directly on muslin.  And the answer to that is, yes!
So here is my Halloween burlap bag all ready to be filled with treats!
I selected my digital image, sized it and first printed it on copy paper.  This told me where I needed to place my piece of muslin. I first adhered the muslin to a heavy duty piece of card stock and then taped both down to the copy paper really well, so it didn't get stuck in the printer.  Once printed, I took my scalloped fabric scissors to cut around the edge.
I peeled it off the card stock and pulled out my needle and thread.
I wanted my edges to be a bit frayed, so I pulled the threads around the perimeter.
I glued a bit of lace to the muslin using fabric glue. I wanted to add a flower to my bag, so I decided to dye a swatch of the muslin using purple Glimmer Mist and Walnut Ink.
I wet the fabric first and then sprayed away!  I spread it out on a paper plate and gave it one more spritz of the walnut ink to age it a bit.  If you are in a hurry for it to dry, take a blow dryer or heat gun to speed up the process.
I used these Papertrey Ink flower dies and my dyed muslin to create my flower.
I tied my seam binding with black string.
I layered all the pieces onto my burlap bag. I did add some black pom pom trim ,several green felt leaves,  and a button to the center of my flower.
And here once again is my finished treat bag. :)
