SRM Stickers and Happy Fourth of July!

Happy Fourth of July to you!  I have a couple of things to share with you today!
First, I am up on the SRM blog today with my first ever post as one of their newest DT members!
Here is a sneak peek at what I've created!
If you would like to see the whole card be sure to stop by the SRM blog. :)
Cortney is modeling an adorable skirt from My Momma's Sew Crafty! I love the bright colored leaves, and we were lucky enough to have a perfectly matching headband to go with it! The skirt is super soft and comfy!
As I mentioned yesterday, our town always has a parade and fireworks on the 3rd of July.  It is a tradition that we have participated in since moving into our house 21 years ago.
I took a few pictures....and was so thrilled to actually get my two kiddos in the same shot! And it's actually a pretty decent picture of the two of them!
There's my mom and George, and of course Brian and I. :)
The family is headed to the golf course tonight for the 4th.
The days of family time are fleeting as the kids get older, so I want to savor these moments.
Have a happy 4th my friends!

Hooray USA!

Happy Fourth of July Eve to you!!
I am up on the Scrapbook Adhesives 3L blog today with a complete step by step tutorial on how I made this faux tile card.
I love cards with dimension and it was so easy to do using Scrapbook Adhesives 3D foam squares.
Cool right?  My sentiment is from SRM Stickers which I hand cut into a banner shape. Be sure to pop over the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L blog for full instructions! :)
I have more modeling pictures of Cortney.
(I hope you aren't ready to throw something at your computer right now!) LOL!
Petit Bowtique sent her this beautiful headband.
It was so pretty and comfortable. No squeezing of the temples or headaches!

We have our Fourth of July parade and fireworks tonight! Even though I live near Chicago, our town is a bit like Mayberry! Everyone comes out with their lawn chairs and it turns into one big block party of sorts! The fireworks are right down the block from our house, so we get to watch the show from our deck. It's awesome! It's definitely something we look forward to each year!

Happy Fourth of July!

This summer is really flying by!  (As I feared it would!)  Friday is the Fourth of July already! Around my neck of the woods, Thursday is really the big deal.  Our town holds a parade and fireworks.  You know what the best part is? We can see the fireworks from the comfort of our back yard!
I am always the crazy camera lady taking pictures of everyone, everything, so be prepared for a million photos this weekend!

I created a fun layout for Northridge Publishing's Cricut magazine, using a Cricut cartridge called, Home for the Holidays-Spring/Summer.  It has these awesome rosettes! I dunked the edges in tacky glue and dipped it in glass glitter.
I spritzed the background with a bit of silver glimmer mist and added some red gems.
I added a large star as my focal point.  I added the glittered rosettes, and my banner title.

I will be back tomorrow and Friday with a project from Scrapbook Adhesives 3L and my first project for SRM Stickers.  So I hope you will find a few minutes to pop on over!
Have a great Wednesday!

Palm Trees and Coconuts

I hope you all had a great weekend!  I was busy at the American Girl doll store celebrating my niece's birthday.  We did a bit of swimming on Sunday and had a BBQ at my in-laws afterwards.  All in all a busy, but fun weekend!
I have a summery card that I created last year when I was part of the Splitcoast Dirty Dozen team.
I had used my Cricut for the entire card.  I would love to tell you which cartridges, but honestly I don't remember.  ( I apologize!)  The entire card was totally inspired by the beach ball flair button.
I added lots of fun details, like brown Flower Soft on the coconuts. Sand on the....well...sand.  LOL! Glitter on the clouds, a bit of ink to define the sun, pearls, and glittery seashells.
I am off to dodge the raindrops today. There are a few things that must be done....
Have a wonderful day!
