Water Colored Birds

Happy Friday to you!
I have had a crazy busy week and have been away from my computer most of the time. I have been spending time with the kids, family, and friends.  I've been trying to catch up with people I don't always have the opportunity to see.
I did manage to spend one afternoon water coloring some images on my deck.
This image is from Crafty Secrets and is part of the Sing For Joy digital stamp set.
I colored it using my Inktense pencils.  I love the soft water colored effect. The image was cut out using Spellbinder's Resplendent Rectangle's die. I inked around the edges a bit to distress it a bit.
The flower is also from a Spellbinder's die, called Bitty Blossoms.  I gave it a bit of color with my Inktense Pencils as well. I added some vintage lace, pink string, and a few sequins to finish it off.
The temperatures are supposed to be a bit warmer, so hopefully we will make our way to the pool and relax a bit!
Have a great weekend!

SRM Punched Pieces!

Nothing like being a day late to your DT assigned day! I have been so busy catching up with friends and family that my computer is actually collecting a wee bit of dust! LOL! I guess as the saying goes, "Better late than never!"
Here is a sneak peek of my project.  Be sure to head on over to the SRM blog to view the project in its entirety.  :)

Trying to get caught up!  Lots to share with you!

JustRite's New Release-Snowflakes!

Snowflakes?  Did someone say snowflakes?
I know it is the middle of July, but honestly our weather here yesterday was only 60 degrees!
So I guess snowy weather isn't that far off! LOL!
Today is JustRite's last release for this month.
The set is appropriately called, Snowflakes
I picked up a few wooden doilies at Michaels awhile back with the intention of making ornaments.  I painted it all white, gave it a coat of glossy accents, and sprinkled it with glitter.
I used the SVG cut and my Silhouette for the snowflake. I then stamped it in Versamark and embossed it in silver.
I inked the edges with a bit of orange and pink inks. Before I adhered it to the wooden doily, I wound some orange and silver thread behind it and tacked it into place.  Then with dimensional foam squares (By Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L) I adhered the snowflake over the string so just a bit was peeking out.
The poinsettia is a Silhouette cut.  I cut it with cream card stock and gave it some color using my Spectrum Noir markers. I placed it right in the middle of the snowflake.

Be sure to see the other DT members' beautiful projects!

I am off for a day of shopping and lunch with my girlfriends!
I have much to share with you, but will wait until tomorrow.
Have a great day!

JustRite's New Release-Christmas Wreath!

Another Monday already? This summer seems to be flying by!  Before we know it Christmas will be here. On the upside I'll at least have a few cards made! ;)
Today's new set by JustRite is called, Christmas Wreath.
It coordinates with an SVG file, and I used my Silhouette to cut out the paper.  I stamped the image in black.
I used my Spectrum Noir markers to color it.
I stamped the ribbon on patterned paper and cut it out.  I added glossy accents, glitter, and a pearl for the center.  The wreath was matted on Spellbinder's Beaded Die. While the die was still in place I used a sponge and a bit of brown Memento ink to sponge in the circles.  Then I added a little mound of glossy accents to each circle and gave it a dusting of glitter.  I added twill, green ribbon, and red fuzzy jingle bells tied with pink string.

Cortney has a photo shoot with a professional photographer tonight! We are very excited but we are praying the rain stays away!
Have a great day!

JustRite's New Release-Christmas Vintage Labels Seven!

Good morning to you! I apologize for bombarding your computers this week!  I hope you have been enjoying all of the great new stamps released by JustRite.  I have another pretty Christmas set to share today.  The set is called, Christmas Vintage Labels Seven. I stamped the frame in black directly on the card stock. I stamped it again in red on another piece of card stock and cut it out using Spellbinder's Vintage Labels Seven Die.  I layered it using dimensional foam squares by Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.
I matted the image several times and added two coordinating ribbons tied with red fuzzy jingle bells.  There is nothing better that fuzzy jingle bells! ;)  As a final touch I added a few sequins.

Have a relaxing Sunday!  See you bright and early tomorrow!
