I Turtley Love You!

Sometimes you just need a card to let someone know you love them.
And the best way to do that?
Send a turtle card! ;)
I used this adorable stamp set from Jane's Doodles called, Garden Friends. The little turtle was colored with Copics and given a bit of sparkle using Stickles.

The sentiment was stamped on vellum.  The heart was cut using a Spellbinder's die called, Lace Hearts. I did a bit of embossing, added a glittery word, some shear ribbon, and a few pearls.

JustRite's May Release-Lilac Bouquet

Good morning my friends!
It is the beginning of a new month, which means it is time for JustRite's new release!
I actually used 3 sets today to make my card!
For the background panel, I used Garden View stamp in green. I inked the edges a bit too.
For the center panel I used the new Multi-Step Lilac Bouquet in two shades of pink.  I added a few leaves scattered about.  The sentiment is part of the Sympathy Handwritten Sentiments set and was stamped in black.  I added a bit of glossy accents, glitter, and tiny black pearls to the centers of the flowers.  The butterfly was colored with Copics, cut out, and glittered.  I added a pretty satin bow for a final touch.
Here are the three sets I used today.  :)

Why I've Been Absent...

Proms, graduations, after school activities, retirement parties.....just a few of the reasons why I have been so quiet on my blog lately.
This weekend was Cortney's prom and it was also her birthday.
Her best friend...

And of course her "boyfriend."  He was trying to sneak a little hand holding!
Love that devilish smile!

Success! ;)

Kyle's prom is coming up...along with his awards ceremony and graduation.
Busy, busy, busy.
But life ebbs and flows....and it will eventually slow down.
Until then, enjoy the ride.
